Fundraisers and Endowment

ENDOWMENT

After 10 years of A Slice of Hope raising joy and optimism across the country, we decided that it was important to start working towards an endowment so that Slice of Hope could keep thriving and growing.

Generous supporters of Slice of Hope have offered to sell 2-family houses in Jersey City, NJ to Slice of Hope at a discounted rate of 33% below market prices.

These are 7 properties that would give A Slice of Hope instant equity while also creating monthly income for Slice of Hope that can be used to raise joy and optimism.

The houses would cost $2.1 million and have a market value of $3 million. They would also allow us to fund more projects and even ally with other non-profits in raising joy and optimism and creating an environment of caring throughout the country.

Our immediate goal is to raise $100,000 so that we can contract the houses and work towards the eventual goal of purchasing them completely.  It may even be possible to eventually take out a mortgage to bring us ever closer to the goal.

While this endowment goal is ambitious and crazy, in 2007, everyone thought A Slice of Hope was ambitious and crazy. Together, we have shown that ambitious does not mean impossible.  Together, we can make the endowment a reality.
