Hope for the Holidays: 160 parties for 160 families!

As we gear up to celebrate the holidays, let's throw 160 holiday parties for over 160 families facing food insecurity!

Imagine 160 apartments full of happy families, cooking a meal of their choice of entree, all the side dishes, and even a small toy for each child in the family! The aromas of the wafting in from their family's kitchen, the warmth and joy filling their home and the children beaming with anticipation of opening a toy as well.

A Slice of Hope is anchoring St. John's Bread and Life in Brooklyn, NY's 29th Annual Sponsor A Family Holiday Program.

Every registered family facing food insecurity receives a holiday bag with all the essentials for a holiday meal, plus a $50 gift card to buy their children a special present.

  • A Slice of Hope will donate $5,000 and it is being matched 3 times: by two of St. John's Bread and Life's anonymous donors, as well as by their Giving Tuesday donors. So every $1 becomes $4!

St. John's Bread and Life was one of the original shelters where we began our Parties of Hope. Your generosity will have an immediate impact, bringing joy to children, nourishing families, and creating joy and hope for the holiday season.
